Jason Williams

Jason Williams began his collegiate career at Marshall University for head coach Billy Donovan and ended it at the University of Florida with Donovan. As loyal as they come, Williams thrived for Donovan at the point guard position at both universities before joining the Sacramento Kings as a first round selection in 1998. As a rookie in 1998 he became one of the faces of the Kings franchise, scoring 12.8 points per game and leading his team to a playoff appearance in route to earning First Team All-Rookie honors. He’d go on to lead the Kings to playoff appearances in three consecutive seasons from 1998 to 2001 before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. Prior to hanging up his sneakers in 2011 he saw time with the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic from 2005 to 2011 and helped the Heat to an NBA Championship in 2006. Known for his flash on the court, he had uncanny ball handling skills and always seemed to find the open man no matter what kind of pass was required. Off the court he was always a dedicated philanthropist and continues that work to this day.
