About Gwen Jorgensen
Gwen Jorgensen made American history in 2016. She became the first U.S. athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in triathlon. Beginning in April 2014 and leading up to the games, Jorgensen won all but two individual races. That streak included 13 straight victories in the ITU World Triathlon Series. She won both the 2014 and 2015 ITU World Triathlon Championship. Jorgensen also qualified for the 2012 Olympics, but a disappointing finish in London fueled her fire to reach the top of the sport.
