About Shannon Boxx
Shannon Boxx has played on the US Women’s National Soccer Team since 2003 and has helped lead the stars and stripes to gold medals at the 2008 Athens Olympics, 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2012 London Olympics. During her college days at Notre Dame she helped the Fighting Irish to an NCAA National Championship in 1995 and earned All-Big East honors in 1995, 1996 and 1997. In 1999 she turned pro and has since scored 118 goals while playing for 11 different professional teams across three leagues. In 2013 she joined the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women’s Soccer League where she serves as a leader both on and off the field. During her international career she has helped the USA National Team to top three finishes at the 2003, 2007 and 2010 FIFA Women’s World Cup and is considered one of the most respected players in the world.
