About Shannon Bahrke
Shannon Bahrke began skiing at the age of three and grew up on the slopes of Lake Tahoe. After high school Bahrke attended the University of Utah and began competing on the United States Freestyle Ski Team in 1998. In 2002 she was selected to compete on the US Team at the Salt Lake City Olympics and brought a silver medal back to the states. The following year she won a bronze medal at the 2003 World Championships and went on to win a silver medal at the 2007 World Championships in Madonna di Campiglio. Following her win she co-founded Silver Bean Coffee, which offers ski-themed coffee, blends while also supporting the US Ski Team and their charities. In 2010 she returned to the Olympic scene and won a bronze medal at the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. The following year she appeared in the Visit California promotional commercial with the goal of boosting tourism from the United Kingdom.
