About Fredrik Ljungberg
Fredrik Ljungberg is a retired soccer player who formerly played for a variety of club teams and represented Sweden in various international tournaments. At the age of 12, Ljungberg signed with signed with Halmstads BK, competing with the team for five years and scoring 10 goals in 79 appearances. In 1998, Ljungberg signed with Arsenal, competing with the team for ten seasons, making 216 appearances and scoring 72 goals. His time with Arsenal was easily Ljungberg’s best years of his career, but he left the team in 2007 to play two seasons with West Ham United. In 2009, Ljungberg headed to the United States to play for the Seattle Sounders of the MLS, making 37 appearances but only scoring two goals in his two seasons with the team. After playing for the Chicago Fire, Celtic, Shimzu, and Mumbai City for the next few years, Ljungberg decided to retire in 2014, ending his long and storied career.
