About Becky Sauerbrunn
Becky Sauerbrunn was a member of the U.S. women’s national soccer team.Sauerbrunn debuted in 2008 and was on the 2011 World Cup and 2012 Olympic teams. She also starred in the National Women’s Soccer League, winning Defender of the Year in its inaugural season.FC Kansas City went on to win the NWSL Championship in 2014.
Sauerbrunn was a college star at Virginia, becoming the only Cavaliers player to be a three-time NSCAA All-American. In Sauerbrunn’s senior season, she was the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. The St. Louis native was the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year and a two-time Parade All-American at Ladue High School.
