About Hope Solo
Hope Solo served as a goalkeeper for the US Women’s national soccer team from 2000-2016. During her record reign in the net, she led the stars and stripes to two Olympic Gold Medals. With the sport's rise in popularity, she also became one of the most recognizable athletes in the world. Her unique combination of athletic ability and beauty brought her international acclaim as a brand ambassador, model, and athlete.
Off the field, Solo has been an American icon and has taken advantage of the opportunity to branch out and show her talents in numerous different areas. She’s been a contestant on the hit show, “Dancing With the Stars,” appeared nude in ESPN’s 2011 “Body Issue”, and also served as an ambassador for Gatorade, Bank of America, and EA Sports FIFA 2012.
In 2012 Solo released her autobiography, Solo: A Memoir of Hope, which touched on the hardships, controversies and victories that have made her arguably the nation’s most famous soccer player.
