About Eneko Llanos
Eneko Llanos is a triathlete born in Victoria-Gasteiz. Llanos began competing in the triathlon on a major scale in 1995 when he won the Spanish Championships as a junior. Llanos continued to improve on his times and in 2000 he qualified for his first Olympics. He finished the Games with a time of 1:50:48 which was good enough for 23rd place. He returned to the Olympics again in 2004, improving his performance to a 20th place finish. After 2004, Llanos was launched onto the national stage when he began seriously competing for Ironman championships. He finished 5th and 7th in his first two Ironman World Championships in Hawaii until 2008 when he earned a personal best 2nd place finish in Hawaii. Llanos continues to compete at a high level and has won several events in both Europe and the World.
