About Dotsie Bausch
Dotsie Bausch is a professional cyclist who represents the United States in various competitions including the Olympics. Bausch’s route to Olympic stardom was unconventional, as she did not pick up cycling until she was 26 years old, originally using it as a healing process. Her first professional victory came in 2011 at the World Cup in Manchester, placing third in the team pursuit competition. Later that year, Bausch and the rest of the United States team won a silver medal at the Apeldoorn World Cup. Bausch’s breakthrough came in 2012 at the London Olympics, as she helped the United States secure a silver medal in the team pursuit competition. Truly an inspiration, Bausch proves that nothing is too big to conquer when you set your mind to it.
