Dylan Harper

The San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA) employ Dylan Harper as their professional basketball player. Born on August 24, 2005, in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, he is the son of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper and the younger brother of former Rutgers standout Ron Harper Jr. Harper attended Don Bosco Preparatory High School, where he was a McDonald's All-American and a finalist for the Naismith National High School Player of the Year award. During his senior year, he led Don Bosco to a 26–3 record, averaging 23 points per game.

Harper spent one year at Rutgers University during the 2024–25 season before displaying exceptional performance as a freshman. During his first year at Rutgers he established the freshman scoring record by scoring 564 points while averaging 19.4 points and collecting 4.6 rebounds and providing 4.0 assists per game. The freshman scored in double figures 24 times and reached 20 points in 20 games while scoring a career-high 37 points against No. 9 Alabama.

The San Antonio Spurs drafted Harper with the second overall pick after he entered the 2025 NBA Draft. His 6 feet 6 inches height and 220 pounds body weight make him a skilled finisher and scorer on the court. During his college year he demonstrated his ability to score at the rim by making 70% of his paint shots while navigating through defenders.

Harper dedicates his time to community service by visiting local elementary schools and organizing charity events. His interests include business and technology and he plans to pursue sports broadcasting after his basketball career ends.
