About D.J. Augustin
DJ Augustin made his way to Texas from Missouri to play basketball for the Longhorns in college. Prior to that he lived in New Orleans, but he and his family were forced to move to Missouri due to Hurricane Katrina. While playing at Texas he was a standout performer at point guard, earning consensus First-Team All-American honors and the NCAA Bob Cousy Award in 2008, presented to the nations top point guard. After the 2008 season he was selected in the first round as the 9th overall pick by the Charlotte Bobcats. After an NBA All-Rookie Second Team season in 2009 he established himself as a solid point guard at the pro level and continued to be a solid performer for the Bobcats through 2012. During the 2012 offseason he took his talents to the Indiana Pacers and the made the move to the Toronto Raptors in 2013 before landing with the Chicago Bulls. He’s a floor general, with an ability to both pass and shoot that is rare in this day and age.
