Diego Sanchez Biography

Diego “The Dream” Sanchez is a mixed martial artist with black belts in Gaidojutsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Known as a submission specialist, he has competed in the Lightweight, Middleweight and Welterweight divisions since 2002 and been one of the top contenders in each division.  Prior to entering the world of mixed martial arts he wrestled at the University of New Mexico and worked at UPS.  However, once he got in the ring it was evident that he was born to fight.  His titles include being named fighter of the year three times, winning the first ever UFC Tournament, and being named Fighter of the Year three times by the New Mexico Boxing Federation.  Due to his expertise in submission grappling he was inducted into the Grapplers Quest Hall of Fame.
