Bruce Buffer Biography

Bruce Buffer is the veteran voice of the Octogan and serves as the official announcer for all UFC events.  A black belt in Tang Soo Do, Buffer has fought competitively as a kickboxer but is known best as the voice of mixed martial arts.  Buffer grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvana and began announcing in his early 20’s after being forced to give up kickboxing due to multiple concussions.  Both Bruce and his brother Michael have unique voices and catch phrases that have made them the two most successful and well-known ring announces ever.  Currently Bruce serves as the President and CEO of their family company, “The Buffer Partnership.”  In addition to his announcing career he has also served as the host for his own radio show called “It’s TIME!” which is featured on the Sherdog Radio Network.  He has also started his own podcast called It’s Time on PodcastOne.
