Danny Green

Danny Green was known as a contributor to winning teams throughout his career. He is one of four players to win three NBA championships with three different franchises.

Green was originally selected in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers but started to find his stride once he signed with the San Antonio Spurs the following year. He became a key factor in the team’s success, helping them to two straight NBA Finals and an NBA Championship in 2014.In that first Finals run, Green set a record for three-point field goals.

Green continued to garner respect as one of the league's top three-point shooters when he was traded to the Toronto Raptors in 2018. In his only season with the franchise, Green helped them to their first championship. His winning ways again came in handy the very next year as he took home another title with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Before he was in the NBA, Green played collegiately at the University of North Carolina for four seasons. He would struggle his first two seasons as a Tar Heel, but would break out in his junior season, averaging 11.5 points with 4.9 rebounds. Green returned for his senior season and was named a captain, guiding the team to a National Championship and being named All-ACC Third Team.
