About Danilo Gallinari
Danilo Gallinari is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Detroit Pistons. Originally from Italy, Gallinari played professionally for three professional teams in the Serie B1 league in 2004, eventually moving up to the top Italian league with Olimpia Milano in 2006. His 2008 season with Milano would be his best, as he would earn league MVP and Euroleague Rising Star honors after setting career highs in almost every category. After the 2008 season Gallinari decided to enter the NBA Draft, and was selected with the sixth overall pick by the New York Knicks. Gallinari showed promise as a rookie, and improved his skills throughout two seasons with the Knicks. In 2011, Gallinari was traded to the Denver Nuggets in a three-team deal. He became an offensive contributor for the Nuggets during his six seasons with the team.Gallinari was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2017 and played there for two seasons. After averaging a career-best 19.8 points per game in 2019, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Gallinari put up another strong season in OKC before joining the Hawks in 2020. He signed with the Boston Celtics in 2022.
