Dan Hawkins

Dan Hawkins is a well-known college football coach, currently in charge of the program at his alma mater, UC Davis. After graduating from UC Davis, Hawkins started his coaching career with the football team before leaving in 1985 to coach at various high schools and community colleges before getting his first head coaching job at Willamette University. At WU, Hawkins led the Bearcats to a 40-11-1 overall record in five years at the helm. In 1998, Hawkins moved up to become an assistant at Boise State University, eventually becoming the team's head coach in 2001. As head coach at BSU, Hawkins would go 53-11 and 37-3 in conference, winning four conference titles and two bowl games. After the 2005 season, Hawkins left Boise State to become head coach at the University of Colorado. Hawkins would not experience the success he was used to at Colorado, only going 19-39 with only one bowl appearance. In 2013, Hawkins became the head coach of the Montreal Alouettes. He also spent several years as a broadcaster with ESPN before returning to the sidelines at UC Davis.
