About Claude Giroux
Claude Giroux has made a name for himself as one of the best scorers in the NHL. The Canadian centre was drafted into the NHL in 2006 by the Philadelphia Flyers whom he has played with ever since. Giroux finally got his break with the Flyers in 2008 and hasnt relinquished control of the first line centre position ever since. In three consecutive NHL seasons, skipping the NHL lockout of 2012, Giroux was the teams leading scorer from 2010-2014 and in that streak he twice finished third overall in the NHL. In the 2012-2013 season Giroux was named captain for the Flyers and holds that title to this day. Before playing in the NHL, Giroux played junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he earned Rookie of the Year honors and also won a gold medal with Canada in the 2008 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
