About Chuck Person
Chuck Person is best known for his astounding scoring abilities as a college basketball player for the Auburn Tigers. Person entered Auburn in 1982 and helped to the team that had never been to the NCAA Tournament earn three trips to Tournaments throughout his career (84, 85, 86). Alongside of NBA legend Charles Barkley, Person helped Auburn win the 85 SEC Tournament and a trip to the 86 Elite Eight. Person finished his Auburn career as the greatest scorer in Tiger history compiling a record holding 2,311 points and 1,017 made field goals. The three-point specialist was drafted fourth overall in the 1986 Draft to the Indianapolis Pacers where he spent six seasons of his career, the first of which he was named NBA Rookie of the Year. In his 14 years in the NBA, Person accumulated almost 14,000 points, averaging 14.7 ppg.
