About Carmelo Anthony
Carmelo Anthony is one of the greatest pure scorers in NBA history. He attended Syracuse University and as a freshman, he helped lead the Orangemen to their first National Championship and he was named the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Anthony only played one season at Syracuse before he entered the NBA Draft. The Denver Nuggets selected Anthony as the third overall draft pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. Anthony made his debut with the Nuggets on October 29, 2003 in a win against the San Antonio Spurs. Anthony had a successful career with the Nuggets, but on February 22, 2011, he was traded to the New York Knicks. Anthony also participated in the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics for the U.S. where they won a bronze medal and two gold medals. He retired as a ten-time NBA All-Star in 2023.
