Carlos Vela Biography

Carlos Vela is one of the top stars in MLS and currently plays as a forward for the Los Angeles Football Club. Vela was originally signed by the club as their first designated player and scored 15 goals during their inaugural 2018 season. He was named an MLS All-Star and was named to the league's Best IX in 2018 and 2019. Prior to coming to the states, Vela played professionally for several English and Spanish clubs. He had his greatest success with Real Sociedad, where he was twice named the club's Player of the Year. Internationally, Vela has played for Mexico, winning the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup and participating in the 2010 World Cup.
