About Bucky Lasek
Bucky Lasek is a skateboarding legend. He began skateboarding at the age of 12 and sharpened his skills at amateur events around the country. In 1987 he was noticed by Powell Peralta talent scouts and turned pro in 1990. When the skateboarding vert was introduced at the ESPN X Games in the late 90’s Lasek took center stage and began his trek to skateboarding immortality. Since 1998 he has won 10 X-Games golds, 10 silvers and 2 bronze medals in the vert singles, vert doubles, and vert best trick competitions. At the X-Games there has been no one to match his style and consistency, with his first win coming in 1998 and his latest win coming as recent as 2013. Lasek broke barriers alongside legend Tony Hawk when the two launched the Tony Hawk video game series and became playable characters for millions around the world. Along with competing at the X-Games he has also been a top competitor on the Dew Tour and Vans Pool Party bowl riding circuit. He’s one of the best ever, and continues to fly high above the rest in the skateboarding world.
