About Boris Diaw
Boris Diaw joined the Atlanta Hawks as a first round pick in 2003 after a standout career in the French Professional League with Pau-Orthez. Diaw is a French native and competed in the 2002 LNB Pro A All-Star game and slam-dunk contest before making the move to the NBA in 2003. In the 2003 NBA Draft he was selected with the 21st overall pick by the Hawks and has gone on to play with the Phoenix Suns and Charlotte Bobcats before joining the San Antonio Spurs in 2012. In 2006 Diaw was named the NBA Most Improved Player after a stellar regular season and postseason in which he averaged 18.7 points in 20 playoff games. In 2009 he recorded a career high 15.1 points per game average and has gone on to help the Spurs to an NBA Championship in 2014. During Diaw’s first 11 years in the NBA he averaged over 9 points and 4 rebounds per game.
