About Bob Diaco
Bob Diaco is the former head coach of the University of Connecticut Huskies football team. Before becoming a coach he played for the Iowa Hawkeyes all four years he was in college as a linebacker. Since graduating in 1995 he went on to work as a graduate assistant at Iowa for two seasons. It was then when he was able to get his feet wet, gain experience, and build his resume before moving on to Western Illinois where he became the running backs coach. He has also coached as an assistant at Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Virginia, Cincinnati, and Notre Dame. While at Notre Dame he won the Broyles Award in 2012.
