About Bo Jackson
Named as the greatest athlete of all time, Bo Jackson is the only athlete to be named an All-Star in two different major sports. Bo was selected by the New York Yankees in the 1982 MLB Draft, but he decided to attend Auburn University on a football scholarship because he promised his mom that he would be the first in the family to attend college. He played both football and baseball, and his number 34 for football was retired and he was ranked as the number 8 player on ESPN’s all-time top 25 college football players in history list. After being selected as the number one overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft he decided to play baseball for the Kansas City Royals. In his baseball career he has 141 home runs and was the All-Star Game MVP in 1989. Bo got an offer from the Los Angeles Raiders NFL team to play for them, and Bo ended up playing the entire MLB season and then reported to the Raiders to play for them, where he was a Pro Bowl selection in 1990.
