Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons was the number one overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Simmons was a three-time All-Star in Philly from 2019-21. In 2020, he was named to the All-NBA Third Team. Simmons was also a two-time All-Defensive First Team pick with the Sixers. He was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2022.

Prior to his jump to the NBA, Simmonswas one of the most-hyped prep basketball players in recent memory. During his one season at Louisiana State University, Simmons definitely flashed the abilities that everyone had been talking about. He averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game for the Tigers in his freshman campaign. Simmons picked up an entire trophy case of honors, including being named a consensus first-team All-American. He was also the United States Basketball Writers Association Freshman of the Year, a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection, and SEC Freshman of the Year. Prior to arriving at LSU, he played three seasons at the prestigious Montverde Academy in Florida. In 2015, Simmons was the Gatorade National Player of the Year and Naismith Prep Player of the Year. He was a McDonald's and Parade All-American as well. He was originally born in Melbourne, Australia and spent most of his youth there.
