About Adam Jones
Four-time All-Star Adam Jones is a favorite among Baltimore sports fans. His best season came in 2013 when Jones hit .285 with 33 home runs and 108 RBI. In addition to his acumen at the plate, he also has four Gold Gloves for his center field play. After years of on-field struggles, the Orioles made the playoffs in 2012 and 2014 with Jones playing a vital role. The Seattle Mariners originally drafted Jones 37th overall in the 2003 MLB Draft. He played parts of the 2006 and 2007 seasons before being traded to Baltimore. Out of Morse High School, he was a pitcher and shortstop and only converted to the outfield once in the minor leagues. Jones is a San Diego, California native. He now gives back to his local Baltimore community by partnering with the YMCA of Central Maryland. Jones was honorary chairman of their Send a Child to Camp initiative in 2013.
