About Walter Bond
Walter Bond is a motivational speaker with a pro basketball background. He played in three NBA seasons with the Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, and Detroit Pistons. In his second pro game on November 10, 1992 with the Mavs, Bond scored a career high 25 points. He also played professionally in the CBA, overseas, and collegiately at the University of Minnesota. Bond’s motivational message centers on personal accountability. He shares his story of not being a college star, but still carving out a pro career in basketball. In addition to speaking, Bond also conducts private and group coaching sessions. His coach at Minnesota, Clem Haskins, originally suggested that he become a motivational speaker. Bond is also the host of The Food Network show Giving You The Business, which tracks employees of a specific company and rewards one with a franchise. He is a native of Chicago, Illinois.
