Baron Davis

Baron Davis was a two-time NBA All-Star guard who played for five different franchises. Davis averaged 16.1 points per game in his career.  During his first five seasons, he helped the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets make the playoffs each year.  Davis was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2005, but in the 2006-07 season, he led the franchise to its first playoff appearance since 1994.  The Warriors would go on to upset the top seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round as Davis averaged 25 points per game in the series.  He closed his career out with the Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks.  The Hornets originally selected Davis out of UCLA with the third overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft.  The Los Angeles native was a Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 1998 and a third-team All-American in 1999.  As a senior at Crossroads School, Davis was the Gatorade National Player of the Year, a Parade All-American, and a McDonald’s All-American Game participant.
