Valorie Kondos Field Biography

When it comes to college gymnastics coaches, Valorie Kondos Field stands above the rest. She guided the UCLA program from 1991-2019. In the process, Kondos Field won seven NCAA championships and 15 Pac-12 titles. She was a four-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year and the Pac-12 Gymnastics Coach of the Century. Her career victories rank third in NCAA history. Kondos Field coached 14 Olympic gymnasts and is still well known today for her work as a choreographer. In retirement, she has continued to inspire as a motivational speaker and her first TED Talk in 2019 has reached over two million views. Kondos Field is a member of the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame and the Hellenic Athletic Hall of Fame. She is also a breast cancer survivor and works with several charitable groups in an advisory and fundraising role.
