About Tyler Hamilton
In 1995, Tyler Hamilton turned professional as an American cyclist and began riding for the US Postal Service cycling team. As a member of the team, Hamilton was a teammate to Lance Armstrong during the '99, '00, & '01 Tour de Frances where Armstrong won the Yellow jersey. In 2003, Hamilton won the Liège Bastogne Liège, making him the only American to ever win one of the Five Monuments of Cycling. He also competed in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, winning a gold medal at the 2004 time trials. After a first doping suspension, Hamilton returned to the sport in 2006 and shortly after became the national road race champion after the 2008 season.
