About Oz Sanchez
Oz Sanchez is a Paralympic hand-cyclist and triathlete. Sanchez is a former United States Marine, but amotorcycle accident in 2001 caused a spinal cord injury, paralyzing him and forcing him to a wheelchairfor the remainder of his life. Rather than let his situation keep him in depression, Sanchez started tocompete as a Paralympic athlete, competing in triathlons and hand cycling events. Sanchez has gone onto win five world championships in hand cycling, as well as winning the gold medal at the 2009 UCI ParacyclingWorld Championships. He has competed in multiple Paralympic games, including ones in Beijingand London. Sanchez is also a public speaker, speaking on behalf of the Paralympic Games as well as theHartford Financial Services Group. Even with his disability, Sanchez proves that anything is possible, andthat there truly are no limits when you put your mind to something.
