About April Ross
April Ross is one of the best beach volleyball players in the world. She won a silver medal with her partner Jen Kessy at the 2012 Olympics in London. Ross has had a successful run on the AVP Tour, being named Player of the Year in 2013. She was the Rookie of the Year on tour in 2007. No U.S. woman other than Ross has had three FIVB victories to start a career. Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh-Jennings is now her partner on the sand and the duo will look to compete at the 2016 Olympics. Ross was dominant from the start in college at USC. She won National Freshman of the Year and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and the Trojans advanced to the Final Four. Ross closed her USC career with back-to-back national titles and first team All-American selections. At Newport Harbor High School, she was Gatorade National Player of the Year her senior season.
