Drafted by the Dallas Mavericks 5th overall in the 2018 Draft, but later traded to the Atlanta Hawks, Trae Young dominated most of the college basketball conversation during his one season at the University of Oklahoma. He became the first player to ever lead the NCAA in points and assists. Young averaged 27.4 points and 8.7 assists per game. He also broke the Big 12 freshman record with 811 points. In a December game, Young tied the NCAA record with 22 assists. He was named a consensus All-American, the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and a first-team All-Big 12 selection. Young grew up in Norman, Oklahoma and attended Norman North High School. He was a consensus five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American who averaged 42.6 points per game as a senior.
