About Tony Sanchez
Tony Sanchez is former the head football coach at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. He originally became head coach at UNLV for the 2015 season and guided the Rebels for five seasons. Sanchez built up a tremendous reputation in the community as the head coach of the area high school powerhouse Bishop Gorman. The Gaels won the NIAA 4A State Championship each of his six seasons. Overall, Sanchez posted a 85-5 record at Bishop Gorman. He previously had head coaching tenures at Onate High School in New Mexico and San Ramon High School in California. Sanchez's coaching career started as a student assistant at his alma mater, New Mexico State, in 1996. He also had tenures as an assistant at Onate and Irvin High School in El Paso, Texas.
