About Taylor Jenkins
Taylor Jenkins is the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. Jenkins has overseen a rebuilding Grizzlies team and turned them into a winner. He was originally hired in 2019, finishing just five games under .500 in his first season. Jenkins then made the playoffs in each of the next two seasons, including leading the Grizz to their first Southwest Division title ever in 2022. He previously had tenures as an assistant coach under Mike Budenholzer with the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. Jenkins began his career in basketball operations with the San Antonio Spurs before they assigned him to be an assistant for their D-League franchise, the Austin Toros. After four seasons as an assistant, he took over as head coach and led the Toros to a D-League championship in 2012. Jenkins is a native of the Dallas area who did not play college basketball, but instead graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennslyvania.
