About Steve Sands
Steve Sands is the lead interviewer on NBC Sports golf coverage. He also serves as a studio host and play-by-play voice for the Golf Channel, where he originally started in 2001. Sands career has coincided with the playing career of Tiger Woods and he is known for having developed a good rapport with him as an interviewer. He contributes to NBC's Olympic coverage as well, as a commentator on speed skating and golf. Sands is a Washington D.C. native who began his career in local television in Ft. Collins, Colorado after graduating from Colorado State University.
