About David Feherty
David Feherty was one of the top PGA Tour pros in the world for 21 years from 1976 to 1997. During that span he won 10 pro events and posted several top ten performances at PGA Tour majors. In 1991 he finished tied for seventh place at the PGA Championship and went on to finish tied for fourth place at 1994 The PGA Championship. In 1980 and 1983 Feherty won the Irish National PGA Championship and also won the 1988 South African PGA Championship. In 1989 he put his name on the map with a 6th place finish at The Open Championship. He’d go on to capture five wins on the European Tour from 1986 to 1992 and finish in the top ten twice in the European Tour’s Order of Merit in 1989 and 1990. Since his retirement from professional golf in 1997, he has become a successful writer and broadcaster with CBS Sports, NBC Sports and on the Golf Channel.
