About Stacey Augmon
Stacey Augmon is a retired professional small forward/ shooting guard for five teams in the NBA. Augmon attended UNLV where he won the 1990 NCAA Champion with the men’s basketball team. Augmon was also the first three-time winner of the NABC Defensive Player of the Year. The Atlanta Hawks selected Augmon as the 9th overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft. Augmon was the first player in the top ten draft picks to work out a deal. His deal was a 5-year contract worth $6.5 million to $7 million. Augmon played for the Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets and the Orlando Magic. The Magic did not re-sign Augmon for the 2006-07 season, which made him an unrestricted free agent. Instead of signing as a player, he signed with the Denver Nuggets as a player development coach. Augmon took up the assistant coaching position with UNLV and still remains there today.
