About Sean Lewis
Sean Lewis has been a rising star in coaching for many years, which led him to his current role as the head football coach at San Diego State. Before taking over the Aztecs program, Lewis spent one year as the offensive coordinator for Deion Sanders at Colorado. Lewis was the head coach at Kent State from 2018-2022, guiding the Golden Flashes to a MAC East Division title in 2021.
Lewis is an Illinois native who played at Wisconsin and garnered most of his early coaching experience in the Midwest. He was a high school coordinator for two seasons before jumping to the college ranks coaching tight ends at Nebraska-Omaha in 2010. From there, he moved on to become a graduate assistant on the FBS level at Akron before stops at Eastern Illinois, Bowling Green, and Syracuse.
