Se Ri Pak Biography

Se Ri Pak is a native of Daejon, Korea and joined the LPGA Tour in 1998 at the age of 20. Prior to joining the pro tour she won six tournaments on the LPGA of Korea Tour in 1996 and 1997 and made a name for herself as a force to be reckoned with on an international stage. Since joining the LPGA Tour as a full-time player in 1998 she has won 33 professional tournaments including the five majors. In 1998 she was named LPGA Rookie of the Year, GWAA Female Player of the Year and AP Female Athlete of the Year after winning both the LPGA Championship and U.S. Women’s open in her first year on tour. She’d go on to win two more LPGA Championships in 2002 and 2006 and capture the Women’s British Open crown in 2001. Notably, she has also finished in the top 10 at every other LPGA major tournament, posting 4th place finishes at the Evian Championship in 2013 and ANA Inspiration in 2014 and also finishing 7th at the du Maurier Classic. For her contributions to the sport of women’s golf she was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2007.
