Sasha Vujacic Biography

Born in Slovenia, Sasha Vujacic is a professional basketball player who has spent his career playing all over the world. Sasha began his professional career in Italy’s Leg Basket Serie A where he played as point guard for 3 years. In 2004, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 27th overall pick and signed with the team shortly after. Vajucic went on to spend 6 years with the Lakers, setting the team record for three point field goal % in a season with .437 in 2007. With the Lakers, he won 2 NBA Championships (2009, 2010) and hit two clinching free throws in the closing seconds of the later one. Vajucic was then traded to the New Jersey Nets where he only spent a couple of months before returning to Europe. Vajucic currently plays for Istanbul BB of the Turkish Basketball League where he is a 2x All-Star.
