Sally Jenkins

Sally Jenkins, a Texas native, grew up aspiring to become a writer. Throughout her childhood, she could not be found without a book in her hand. Jenkins pursued a degree in English Literature at Stanford University and has authored twelve books since. Four of the twelve have prestigiously become New York Times bestsellers, including a number one bestseller, It’s Not About the Bike: My Journey Back to Life, with Lance Armstrong. While a majority of her work focuses on the sports industry, Jenkins has had numerous pieces featured in Sports Illustrated. In addition, she has had pieces featured in Smithsonian Magazine, GQ, and has acted as a correspondent on CNBC. Jenkins is currently a sports columnist and feature writer for The Washington Post. She honorable stands as the first woman ever inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame.
