About Ronde Barber
Ronde Barber spent his college football career at the University of Virginia as a defensive back and kick returner. In his red-shirt freshman year, Barber earned ACC Freshman of the Year honors and after 3 seasons he had recorded 15 interceptions as a Cavalier. Barber was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1997 and stayed with the team for all 16 seasons of his career. He only played in 1 game as a rookie, but in 1998 Barber earned the starting role and proceeded to start every game for the remainder of his career. Barber was a 5x Pro Bowler who recorded 47 interceptions in his career. He holds NFL records for recording the most consecutive starts for a cornerback and most career sacks for a cornerback. He also holds the Bucs franchise record for most career interceptions, as well as joining Charles Woodson as the only members of the 40/20 Club (at least 40 interceptions and 20 sacks in a career). He won one Super Bowl in his time in the NFL and after retiring in 2012 he joined Fox Sports as a studio analyst.
