About Jim Kelly
Hall of Famer Jim Kelly is the most beloved Buffalo Bill of all-time. Kelly led the Bills to four straight Super Bowls and holds almost every team passing record. To this day, he is the last Buffalo quarterback to win a playoff game and his #12 is the only number retired by the franchise. Kelly was a five-time Pro Bowler and popularized the no-huddle “K-Gun” offense. He was originally drafted 14th overall was the third of a famed quarterback class taken in the 1983 NFL Draft. Kelly played his first two professional seasons for the USFL’s Houston Gamblers. He was USFL MVP in 1984, holds single-season and career records for touchdowns, and the league’s single-season passing record. Kelly was inducted into the University of Miami Hall of Fame in 1992 and set the table for the Canes’ dominance in the 1980s. Kelly has beat cancer multiple times in recent year and is an inspiration to people worldwide. After his son, Hunter, was diagnosed with Krabbe disease in 1997, he founded the charity Hunter’s Hope to bring awareness to the condition.
