About Rick Mirer
Rick Mirer is a retired National Football League quarterback. Mirer began his career in college at the University of Notre Dame where he led his team to a 29-7-1 record including three bowl games. He left as one of the most successful quarterbacks in school history, including setting the single season touchdown record and being named co-MVP of the 1992 Sugar Bowl before being selected as the second overall pick in the 1993 NFL Draft where he went to the Seattle Seahawks. He became only the third rookie quarterback since 1970 to start all of the teamÂs games and set a rookie record for attempts, completions, and yards. Those numbers led to Rick being named the AFC Rookie of the Year in 1993. Rick ended his professional career with nearly 12,000 passing yards, and 1,088 completions in just over 2,000 attempts as well as 1,130 career rushing yards in 242 attempts.
