Rex Burkhead

Early on, Rex Burkhead played football in high school where he rushed for 1,762 yards as a senior with 28 touchdowns and led his team to a semifinal appearance in the playoffs. In college Rex continued to sharpen his skills and get better at his craft. Despite a bout dealing with injuries, Rex had success in college by becoming a member of the First-team All-Big Ten squad for Nebraska. He finished his senior season with 98 carries for an average of 6.9 yards per carry. He was projected as a top 150 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft as the 9th or 10th best running back in the draft, but ended up being the 190th selection. Rex showed signs of greatness in his first games with the Cincinnati Bengals including rushing 28 times for 130 yards with one touchdown in his first four appearances. Since then Rex has worked to come back from injury and be a better player every time he walks out on to the field.
