Robert Geathers

Prior to making it all the way to the National Football League, Robert Geathers played football in college at the University of Georgia. He began playing as a true freshman and in three seasons he played in a total of 39 games where he racked up 81 tackles with five sacks, a fumble recovery, and two interceptions. Robert declared for the draft after his junior season and he went to the Cincinnati Bengals as the 117th overall selection in the fourth round of the draft. He has since played every season with Cincinnati and become a regular starter where he has become known for making sacks and returning recovered fumbles. There was no doubt that Geathers was destined to play in the NFL since he is a part of a family that has several members who have played the sport professionally or at the collegiate level including his father and two brothers.
