About Taylor Mays
Taylor Mays is an NFL safety that currently plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. Coming out of high school, Mays was a highly touted recruit, ultimately signing with head coach Pete Carrol and the University of Southern California Trojans. After a four year career at USC that included three All American honors as well as two first team all-Pac 10 honors, Mays was ranked one of the highest prospects at his position heading in to the 2010 NFL Draft. After initially thought to be a sure fire first round pick, the San Francisco 49ers were able to snag Mays in the second round, a move that motivated Mays to prove everyone who passed on him wrong. After an uneventful rookie year where he split time between special teams and back-up safety, Mays was traded tothe Cincinnati Bengals for a seventh round pick, where he is now the backup free safety to starter Reggie Nelson.
