About Rebecca Lobo
While she is also known widely for her work in broadcasting, Rebecca Lobo was also a player of basketball in the Womens National Basketball Association. She was a part of the inaugural season of the WNBA in 1997 where she played for the New York Liberty and she nearly led her team to a championship. She has been a WNBA All-Star in her first year in the league, as well as played in the Olympic Games where she led her team to win a gold medal. She is also a member of the 2010 class of the Womens Basketball Hall of Fame. In 2003 Rebecca decided to retire from the league as a player and went in a new direction by entering broadcasting. She is now a reporter and color analyst for ESPN, where she has a primary focus on covering womens college basketball and WNBA games.
