About Quin Snyder
After a lengthy coaching career, Quin Synder has reached the pinnacle of his profession as an NBA head coach. Snyder was hired by the Utah Jazz in 2014 and immediately produced results, pushing the team to the brink of a .500 record in the difficult Western Conference. In recent years, he has been an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, and CSKA in Moscow. Snyder has a great three-year run in the D-League as head coach of the Austin Toros. He led the Toros to the playoffs each season and won the Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year Award once. Snyder really first made his mark on the basketball world at Missouri. He took the Tigers to four straight NCAA Tournaments and an Elite Eight appearance in 2002. Snyder had been an assistant coach at his alma mater, Duke, for six seasons before taking the Missouri job. His start in coaching came as an assistant coach for the 1992-93 Los Angeles Clippers. Snyder holds three degrees from Duke and went to three Final Fours as a player for the Blue Devils.
